Our Urban Gardeners
Virginia Green Grocer's Urban Gardener program allows interested volunteers to grow produce at home to be donated to our nonprofit. While we work to establish our on-site grocery store, this produce will benefit local food pantries to address food insecurity in low-income areas.

To join our program, fill out the form below. Our Urban Gardener Network Director will reach out to you to ensure you have all the necessary supplies, such as soil and pots, to be successful in your journey with us. We wish for our gardeners to provide plants of their own, but we will provide supplies as able.
What Is Expected?
Our urban gardeners will be asked to participate in our interactive Facebook group! In this group, you'll connect with our Urban Gardener Network Director and our garden experts to make the most of your experience with Virginia Green Grocer.

You will have access to free, 1:1 mentorship and training to help your plants thrive.

What do you have to do as a member of our program?
You'll be asked to occasionally photograph your blossoming plants to share your progress with our Network Director! In addition, you will need to let us know when you have produce to donate so we can coordinate your pick-ups.
